RENTRAIL / WD DIGI

RentRail terms & license

Effective October 24, 2026. These terms describe use of RentRail, published by WD DIGI. Microsoft Store purchase terms and any mandatory local consumer rights also apply.

Free and Pro license

RentRail Free has no time limit and includes 25 active item types, 50 customers and 10 active bookings. Quotes, confirmed and checked-out bookings count as active; completed and cancelled records do not. Bulk quantity counts as one item type. Pro removes these capacity limits with a one-time Microsoft Store durable add-on purchase. The Microsoft account and device rules of the Store apply. If Pro cannot be verified, existing records remain accessible and editable; returns, payments, exports and backups remain available. Adding records beyond Free capacity requires an active Pro license.

Your business records

You control the information entered into RentRail and are responsible for lawful collection and use of customer details, correct stock counts, accurate returns, rental terms, tax settings and financial records. Availability checks depend on those records. Check equipment condition and actual possession before making a rental promise.

Invoices and payment records

RentRail calculates totals from your settings and generates documents. It does not provide accounting, tax or legal advice, collect money, issue bank refunds or process card payments. Confirm that your documents meet the requirements that apply to your business.

Backups and updates

Keep backups on a separate drive and test that you can restore them. A local backup on the same disk does not protect against disk failure. Software updates may improve or change features. A one-time purchase does not promise every future paid edition or service.

Optional messages

Configure SMTP only if you are authorized to use that account and to contact the recipients. Your provider may charge fees or impose sending limits. RentRail cannot guarantee message delivery.

Warranty and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the software is provided as available without a promise that it will be error-free or suitable for every business process. WD DIGI is not responsible for losses arising from incorrect records, unavailable equipment, failed messages or missing backups, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights.

Purchases and refunds

Microsoft Store handles the Pro add-on purchase, regional taxes and refund requests. Check Microsoft's current terms and refund options for your purchase.
